Using AI to combat machine downtime: Munich-based SaaS start-up raises 15 million euros for product development and expansion.

Munich, May 13, 2025 - The Munich-based AI startup remberg has closed a Series A+ financing round of 15 million euros. The round is led by venture capitalists Acton Capital (Munich) and Oxx (London). The existing investors Earlybird, Speedinvest and Fly Ventures are also participating.

remberg offers an AI-supported maintenance platform that helps industrial companies to reduce unplanned machine downtime. A challenge that costs European companies hundreds of billions of euros every year.

Rethinking maintenance with AI

Unplanned downtime costs industry in Europe around 500 billion euros every year. Our solution brings efficiency, transparency and speed to maintenance processes.

David Hahn, CEO and Co-Founder remberg

The platform is manufacturer-independent, mobile and integrates into existing IT systems, even if no specialized maintenance software is currently in use. QR codes and an AI-based chat assistant provide technicians with instant solutions tailored to machine data and maintenance history.

Europe's answer to US platforms

While US companies such as MaintainX have already established themselves in the digital maintenance market, remberg is focusing on a European solution for the European industry. There is a particular focus on data sovereignty, hosting standards and industry compatibility.

More than 1 million assets are already managed via the platform, including by customers such as SCHUNK, Liqui Moly, Brandt Zwieback, Edding and Meleghy Automotive.

Investments in AI & expansion

With the new capital, remberg will further develop its platform with a focus on predictive maintenance and maintenance automation through AI. The focus will also be on expanding into other European markets.

Machine availability and competitive costs are crucial. remberg provides the digital infrastructure for this.

Julius Lühr, Partner at Acton Capital

Philip Edmondson-Jones, Partner at Oxx, adds: "remberg is developing into a central system for industrial maintenance teams in Europe."
