The leather alternatives start-up now wants to bring its product to market in a timely manner.

Darmstadt-based start-up Revoltech GmbH has closed its seed round with a seven-figure investment. The money came from B.Value AG, BMH Beteiligungs-Managementgesellschaft Hessen mbH and HEAG.

The company was founded in 2021 by Lucas Fuhrmann, Julian Mushövel and Montgomery Wagner. The goal is to develop a sustainable leather alternative that is plastic-free and a plant-based alternative to leather made from hemp fibers. Revoltech markets these products under the name LOVR. The investment is intended to advance the development of the operating business: "The seed funding is a big step for LOVR. I am very happy that we have found partners who share and support our vision of a sustainable circular economy," says CEO Lucas Fuhrmann. Co-founder and COO Montgomery Wagner is also happy about the investment: "With this seed round we are financing our market entry. The next two years will be about making the step from lab to industry."
