Munich, June 3, 2025 - Munich-based FinTech Scalable Capital has closed a new financing round of 155 million euros (175 million US dollars). The round was led by Belgian private equity firm Sofina and pan-European technology investor Noteus Partners. The existing investors Balderton Capital, Tencent and HV Capital also participated again. This round brings the total investment in Scalable Capital to over 470 million euros.
Capital for platform expansion and new products
Scalable Capital intends to use the new capital for the further expansion of its fully vertically integrated investment platform. Plans include the launch of new products such as children's portfolios for long-term wealth accumulation for families.
Our mission is to become Europe's leading investment platform for private investors.
Erik Podzuweit, Co-Founder and Co-CEO
Co-CEO Florian Prucker adds that the aim is to further strengthen the technological infrastructure and thus further simplify access to the capital market for millions of people.
Product portfolio from ETFs to private equity
Scalable Capital offers private investors access to a wide range of asset classes: ETFs, equities, funds, bonds, cryptocurrencies, derivatives and, more recently, private equity investments via so-called ELTIFs. Another offering is the specially developed European Investor Exchange, a stock exchange geared towards private investors.
Tailwind for access to the capital market
Investors are convinced by the model.
Scalable Capital is in an excellent position to make it easier for private investors to access investments throughout Europe.
Zoé Fabian-Frey, General Partner at Noteus Partners
Sofina also sees the platform as a forward-looking model for greater financial inclusion. Founded in 2014, Scalable Capital now employs over 600 people at offices in Munich, Berlin, Vienna and London. The platform has over one million clients with assets under management of more than 30 billion euros.
