Schüttflix expands to Austria

The start-up wants to digitalize the building materials industry and is now also launching in neighbouring countries.
At the start-up Schüttflix, customers can order and have gravel, sand and crushed stone delivered digitally. In future, this will also be possible in Austria. Stefan Klanner is taking on the role of Country Manager for the expansion and aims to achieve a seven-figure turnover by the end of the year. Klanner was previously Managing Director of Wastebox, a waste disposal app for construction companies.
"As in Germany, there is enormous cost pressure in the Austrian construction industry. The issue of sustainability is also becoming increasingly important. We are addressing both of these issues and see considerable potential for improvement," says Christian Hülsewig, founder and CEO of Schüttflix.
Founded in 2018, the company sees itself as a "logistics hub" for the construction industry. The platform aims to connect construction companies, building material suppliers and freight forwarders. Users can compare prices of bulk goods and order them in the app developed. According to the company, 9,000 customers and partners are already using the platform in Germany. Following its market entry in Austria, the start-up also plans to expand into Poland and the Czech Republic.
