Sennder brings in Kuehne+Nagel manager as operational head

The post is specially created: From August, Nicholas Minde is the operational head of the DACH region for the Berlin-based start-up Sennder.
20 years of professional experience at DHL and Kühne+Nagel (K+N), among others, distinguish Nicholas Minde. Now he is venturing into the world of start-ups. As of August 1, he will be heading Sennder's operations for the German-speaking region. "I am excited to become part of a company that stands for positive and groundbreaking change in the industry," says Minde about his move.
Sennder was founded in 2015 by David Nothacker, Julius Köhler and Nicolaus Schefenacker. The Berlin-based start-up sees itself as a "digital freight forwarder" that says it manages over 12,000 trucks in Europe and employs 840 people.
Just last year, Sennder merged with its French rival Everoad. Earlier this year, the Berlin-based company received a billion-dollar valuation, elevating it to unicorn status.
In the Series D funding round, they received $160 million."Nicholas Minde brings more than 20 years of experience in day-to-day operations and strategic leadership in the industry. This combination is a great asset to our team," said COO Tom Christenson of Sennder.
