Seven-figure growth capital for Packwise

Packwise GmbH has successfully completed a seven-figure financing round. In addition to the previous investors TGFS Technologiegründerfonds Sachsen and Hüttenes3, Sächsische Beteiligungsgesellschaft (SBG) is also participating for the first time via the RegioInnoGrowth program (RIG). The aim is to scale the Packwise platform and its sensor solutions internationally and develop them further technologically.

IoT solution for the process industry

Packwise has established itself in the process industry with its solution for digital container management. The combination of the Packwise Smart Cap IoT sensor and the Packwise Flow software platform enables seamless real-time monitoring of fill levels, locations and environmental conditions of industrial containers. The resulting data transparency creates efficiency gains along complex supply chains.

Expansion to North America and new sensor variants planned

Among other things, the new funds will be used to expand the US site in Houston. Packwise also plans to develop new sensor variants for steel containers and ISO tanks and to market additional data-based services.

This financing is a decisive milestone in consolidating our market position in Europe and significantly expanding it in North America.

SBG's investment is part of the RegioInnoGrowth program, which supports technology-oriented companies in the growth phase with funds from KfW, SAB and the Saxon Ministry of Economic Affairs.

TGFS, which has been invested since 2018, also sees Packwise as an"outstanding example of a scalable deep-tech company from Saxony", says Sören Schuster, Managing Director of TGFS.

The start-up was founded in Dresden in 2017 and now has over 50 customers in Europe and the USA. These include international corporations such as BASF, Merck, Solvay and Hoover. With its Industrial IoT solutions, the company is pursuing the goal of driving digital transformation in the process industry worldwide.
