SpinLab - The HHL Accelerator in Leipzig accepted nine new startups into its funding program on August 12, 2025. The young entrepreneurs are developing solutions for various industries, including energy, healthcare, construction and hospitality.

Broad spectrum of technologies

The business ideas range from artificial intelligence to automate complex document processes and medical apps to platforms for energy optimization and tools to improve communication in the service sector.

the new cohort

AI Spaces is working with the DocAI platform on AI-supported automation of tendering processes in the construction industry in the DACH region. The solution analyzes extensive documents, extracts relevant content and structures it for further processing.

Docjo develops medical apps for chronically ill patients. The applications are designed to improve care between visits to the doctor. The portfolio already includes two CE-certified apps: Velaria for respiratory diseases and a digital health app for patients with metabolic syndrome.

Einklang New Energy offers small and medium-sized enterprises a combination of battery storage and tailored electricity tariffs from renewable energies. The aim is to reduce peak loads and cut energy costs.

Emulate Energy is aimed at energy suppliers. The platform bundles controllable household appliances into a "virtual battery" and flexibly adapts electricity consumption to grid and market conditions.

New technologies for construction, health and energy

Muotech is developing an imaging process that uses muon radiation to detect damage or cavities in buildings, industrial plants or geological formations without damaging the structure.

MonsterShack focuses on digital applications for children with medical support needs. The first app ItchyMonsters uses augmented reality, AI and gamification to teach skin care for atopic dermatitis in a playful way.

Regascold has developed a technology to recover unused cooling potential from gas liquefaction for cooling purposes. This should reduce electricity consumption and CO₂ emissions.

Onsai uses AI to automate telephone communication with guests in hotels and serviced apartments. The system conducts multilingual conversations, processes reservations and reduces standard inquiries by up to 70%.

Strong for the Leipzig location

SpinLab is one of Europe's leading start-up hubs according to the Financial Times and Statista ranking of Europe's Leading Start-Up Hubs. The SpinLab Group includes other innovation and accelerator centers in Hanover and Dresden as well as a consulting firm. Over 200 start-ups have passed through the programs so far.
