Staffbase buys Finnish company

The Chemnitz-based company wants to further expand its offering for companies that use Microsoft and is buying the Finnish company Valo for this purpose.
Staffbase improves employee communication, Valo Solutions from Finland offers intranets and digital workplaces. Now the two start-ups are bundling their offerings: to this end, Staffbase has bought Valo. Nothing is known about the sum. Contact persons and offerings will remain for both brands, and over time everything will be merged under Staffbase. All products serve companies that use Microsoft 365 applications.
"We're creating a place to manage a modern channel mix for employee communications - including intranets, SharePoint, teams, employee apps, email newsletters and digital scoreboards," enumerates Martin Böhringer, CEO of Staffbase. He founded the start-up in Chemnitz in 2014, and today Staffbase has offices in ten cities, including New York, Amsterdam and London. The 500 employees take care of two million end users, according to Staffbase.
Valo has been in the market since 2001 and today has offices in four countries. "I am convinced that the combination of Staffbase and Valo will make a significant difference. Over five million employees are already using our platforms and can enjoy a great personalized communication solution for their hybrid workplaces," says Valo CEO Marc Josefsson.
