STARTUPLAND 2025: Cologne will once again become a meeting place for the start-up scene

Now even bigger after the success of 2024. Over 1,000 participants, 3 stages, 50 speakers. STARTUPLAND 2025 brings the German startup ecosystem to Cologne.
News by Marc Nemitz Marc Nemitz · Köln, 13. October 2025

On November 5, 2025, Cologne will be all about innovation, entrepreneurship and networking: The second STARTUPLAND Conference will take place at the RheinEnergieSTADION. The event is organized by the team of the startup magazine Deutsche Startups, which has established itself as a fixture in the German startup scene for years.

After the great success of the premiere in 2024 with around 700 visitors, this year's edition is set to be even bigger, more diverse and more international.

A day full of ideas, exchange and inspiration

The STARTUPLAND Conference sees itself as a platform for start-ups, investors and established companies who want to discuss the future of business and innovation in Germany together.

The program is spread across three stages and offers an impressive range of content:

  • over 50 speakers,
  • more than 25 sessions,
  • 8 AMA sessions (Ask Me Anything),
  • 21 startup pitches,
  • 15 VC pitches
  • 16 practice-oriented master classes.

STARTUPLAND 2025 is therefore not just a conference, but a festival and a plea for an open and cooperative startup culture.

Top speakers from the German startup elite

Once again this year, the organizing team has attracted well-known personalities from the startup and digital world. The highlights on stage include:

  • Mario Kohle, founder of the solar unicorn Enpal,
  • Frank Wolf, co-founder of the internal communication platform Staffbase,
  • Philipp Roesch-Schlanderer, founder of the fitness tech unicorn eGym,
  • and Hendrik Pfeiffer, Olympic athlete and marathon runner, who will talk about motivation and mental strength.

They all bring different perspectives to the table, from sustainable growth and corporate culture to personal resilience, and provide valuable insights into their experiences as founders and leaders.

Networking in the stadium: where ideas run in circles

In addition to the stage program, STARTUPLAND focuses on one thing in particular: getting to know each other personally. Founders meet investors, corporates discover new innovation partners and young teams receive feedback from experienced experts.

With over 1,000 expected participants, the conference offers ideal conditions for making contacts, initiating new collaborations and perhaps even preparing for the next round of financing.

A special event with startup spirit

It is no coincidence that Cologne has become the capital of the start-up scene for one day. In recent years, the Rhine metropolis has developed into a vibrant ecosystem for start-ups, digital companies and creative professionals. STARTUPLAND picks up on this spirit and brings the community together.

Great opportunity for founders and innovators

Anyone who is enthusiastic about the startup world, looking for new impetus or simply curious about what drives Germany's founders should mark November 5, 2025 in red in their calendar.
