Tangany secures 10 million euros in Series A

Munich-based fintech Tangany, a BaFin-regulated provider for the custody of digital assets, has successfully completed a Series A financing round of 10 million euros. The company is thus continuing its growth trajectory and positioning itself as one of the leading infrastructure solutions for regulated digital assets in Europe.

Leading European investors step in

The financing round was led by a consortium of European institutions: Baader Bank, Elevator Ventures (venture capital arm of Raiffeisen Bank International) and Heliad Crypto Partners. Existing investors such as HTGF and Nauta Capital also participated again, underlining the confidence in Tangany's long-term strategy.

Growth in the billions

Since the seed round of 7 million euros in 2022, Tangany has experienced remarkable growth. The volume of digital assets under custody has increased from 400 million euros (2022) to over 3 billion euros. At the same time, the number of client accounts under management grew to more than 700,000, spread across over 60 institutional clients. Partners include established platforms such as FlatexDEGIRO, eToro, Bitvavo and Finanzen.net ZERO.

Role as a regulated infrastructure provider

With its BaFin license and the planned adaptation to the upcoming MiCA regulation, Tangany is positioning itself as a pioneer in the regulated European digital asset market. The company aims to be one of the first fully MiCA-licensed custodians, creating a solid foundation for banks and financial service providers looking to enter the crypto market.

In addition to expanding its technological infrastructure, Tangany is also intensifying its cooperation with banks. Existing partnerships, such as with Baader Bank, will be expanded. The cooperation with Raiffeisen Bank International via Elevator Ventures will also play an important role in the company's European expansion. The company has announced that in future it will only accept selected banking partners who share its long-term vision.
