Wolfgang Wolf was re-elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board of MBG Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft Baden-Württemberg. Wolf has held this position since 2003. He has now been elected for a further four years. "MBG sees its mission as supporting small and medium-sized companies and start-ups with financing issues and looking for solutions," said Wolf in a statement. "It proved this once again during the coronavirus crisis: Together with its sister institution, Bürgschaftsbank, it stood by SMEs in the state as a reliable partner with its expanded range of programs." Deputy Chairman Jürgen Kugler was also confirmed in his position.
The MBG currently provides a total of 235 million euros to around 800 companies in Baden-Württemberg. MBG's shareholders are chambers, associations and the banking industry. MBG mainly invests in silent partnerships. In start-up investments, MBG is often to be found alongside High-Tech Gründerfonds. Among other things, MBG is involved in Wiferion, a start-up for mobile, wireless energy supply for industrial e-vehicles.
