Gegründet wurde marta 2020 von den Studienfreunden Philipp Buhr und Jan Hoffmann. Als sie mit der Pflegebedürftigkeit der eigenen Großeltern konfrontiert waren, entstand die Idee, auf digitalem Weg ein perfektes Match zwischen der Familie mit Pflegebedarf und der Betreuungskraft herzustellen. Fairness, Legalität und Sicherheit stehen dabei im Vordergrund. Seit 2021 ist die Plattform online. 2 Jahre nach dem Start ist marta mit 75 Mitarbeitenden in vier Ländern (Deutschland, Polen, Rumänien und Litauen) aktiv und hat bereits mehr als zweitausend Kundinnen und Kunden und Betreuende für die häusliche Pflege vermittelt.
