embedded ocean GmbH is a software and solution provider based in Unterhaching in the Munich metropolitan area. Focuses are production, machine and facility building, vehicular and device architectures as well as industrial test platforms.

The founders have made it their mission to realize the fourth industrial revolution, bringing together and unifying existing technologies as well as offering innovative customers a tool for fast and efficient implementation of modern industrial IoT applications in the form of the Xentara platform.

The universally deployable software defined industrial integration platform Xentara enables the industry to combine and connect any and all aspects of Industrial IoT. Communication between systems and applications is possible both through legacy field buses as well as modern broker mased systems like e.g. MQTT and deterministic Ethernet based interfaces. Machines, devices and even whole factories can be controlled independently from original manufacturers, the interaction with users (human-machine interface) can be brought into the 21st century through augmented reality and the integration of neural networks and machine learning is possible directly on-premise without using cloud services.

This is made possible by the arbitrarily scalable and extensible Xentara architecture and Skills, no matter if they are acquired from third party suppliers via the Xentara Skill Marketplace or developed in-house, allow a continuous adaptation to growing requirements.

The core component is the hardware independent abstraction and integration layer. This allows data to be analyzed in real-time during running processes and immediately implementing the results without interruptions.

The platform thus offers companies a low-threshold entry into intelligent, data driven production processes, the development of modern IoT enabled production facilities, systems and devices or “X in the loop” capable cutting edge test platforms.

The solution business completes the “one stop shop” spectrum and accompanies customer and digitalization projects end to end – from requirements management to definition and procurement of hardware systems to the implementation of artificial intelligence.
