The Berlin-based start-up produces control units and data loggers for solar installations and wind farms. It has secured new investors in a seed financing round.

Ampere Cloud has closed a seed financing round with a mid-single-digit million amount, reports PV Magazine. It is not yet known exactly how much money the start-up has raised.

New investors for the producer of data loggers for solar systems include Flensburg-based HGDF Familienholding and Vireo Ventures. Existing investors such as Enerparc COO Stefan Müller, former Innogy board member Martin Herrmann and the Business Angel Club Berlin have also invested again.

With the new investments, the start-up from Berlin wants to expand its portfolio and enter the energy trading market itself, explains Managing Director Florian Strunck in PV Magazine. Founded in 2019, the start-up produces control units and data loggers for solar systems and wind farms. Customers will be able to monitor their energy parks using an operating system.
