The Berlin-based start-up produces control units and data loggers for solar plants and wind farms. It has secured new investors in a seed funding round.

Ampere Cloud has closed a seed funding round with a mid-single-digit million amount, PV Magazine reports. Exactly how much money the startup raised is not yet known.

New investors for the producer of data loggers for solar plants include Flensburg-based HGDF Familienholding and Vireo Ventures. Existing investors such as Enerparc COO Stefan Müller, ex-Innogy board member Martin Herrmann and the Business Angel Club Berlin have also invested again.

With the new investments, the Berlin-based start-up wants to expand its portfolio and enter the energy trading business itself, explains CEO Florian Strunck in PV Magazine. Founded in 2019, the start-up produces control units and data loggers for solar plants and wind farms. With an operating system, customers will be able to monitor their energy parks.
