Gorillas lose manager again

Felix Chrobog has left the Berlin start-up. This is the second departure of a manager in a short space of time.
The previous COO Felix Chrobog has left Gorillas. The official reason given is family reasons. However, Chrobog was unable to cope with the rapid growth of the food delivery company, reports Gründerszene with reference to sources within the company. Chrobog already left the company at the end of April. He most recently held a three percent stake in Gorillas. The manager only joined the delivery service in August 2020. He previously worked at the e-scooter start-up Tier, where he was responsible for the German-speaking region. Before that, he was Head of Germany at food delivery company Deliveroo for three years.
Chrobog's position as COO will not be filled, but the tasks will be divided among the other managers. Co-founder Jörg Kattner already left Gorillas three months ago. Even then, it was said that the company had grown too much for him.
In March, Gorillas raised a financing round of 290 million US dollars. This made the Berlin start-up a unicorn after just ten months of operation. It was recently announced that Gorillas would like to raise money again: this time, the start-up wants to receive almost 500 million euros. This would make it worth six billion euros.
