Gorillas creates record label for its employees

The name Pedal Records is said to be based on the pedals of the bicycles used by the Gorillas couriers to deliver their goods. The label only signs employees of the delivery service.
Gorillas has launched a record label. Pedal Records advises the employees of the food delivery service on how to enter the music industry and supports them in producing and releasing their music professionally. To this end, Gorillas is working with Berlin-based indie label MNF.
Employees have been able to submit their songs to Pedal Records since as early as January 20. Everyone gets feedback for the submitted piece of music, even if not every song is released. Four artists have already received a record deal and released their songs on Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer and Amazon Music. Among them are Nana A.J with "Round and Round" and the trio Sardonique with their track "Hysteria." Balwako released the song "Love & Addiction" via Pedal Records, and "Radical Acceptance" can be heard from R0ben.
"Launching a professional record label is an exciting step for us in expanding our creative culture, and I look forward to the world discovering the many talents of the Gorillas crew," says Gorillas human resources manager Deena Fox. The company's creative culture already included self-designed murals in the warehouses and live DJ performances.
