Zalando appoints a woman to the Management Board for the first time

From April 1, Astrid Arndt will become Head of Human Resources. She previously headed the People & Organization department.
Zalando has created a new position to bring Astrid Arndt onto the Management Board. From April 1, the former department head will become the company's new Head of Human Resources. This was decided by the Supervisory Board at its meeting on March 15.
Arndt herself has been with the company since 2018. In her new role, she will be responsible for shaping the corporate culture and HR management, among other things. "It will be an important task for the Management Board to ensure that Zalando can continue to show its full potential. The Supervisory Board is therefore delighted to welcome Astrid Arndt to the Management Board as Chief People Officer and the expertise she brings to Zalando's strategic priorities," says Christina Storbeck, Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board, on the new appointment.
Europe's largest online fashion retailer has set itself the goal of achieving a female quota of 40 to 60 percent at management level by the end of 2023.
