David Schröder becomes Managing Director at Zalando

Zalando expands its Management Board. Sandra Dembeck becomes Chief Financial Officer.

There have been two personnel changes at Zalando: As of March 1, 2022, Chief Financial Officer David Schröder will take over the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer. Sandra Dembeck becomes Chief Financial Officer.

Schröder has been a member of the Zalando Management Board since 2019 and has worked for the company for eleven years. In his new position as Managing Director, he will expand the European logistics network, work on new payment solutions and support direct sales.

Dembeck is currently still working as Finance Director at the Compass Group. She holds a doctorate in Corporate Finance, Marketing and Operations from the University of Passau and has already worked for McKinsey, C&A, Mexx and Kingfisher. At Zalando, she will be responsible for finance and group governance.

Zalando was founded in Berlin in 2008. In September of this year, the online fashion platform was included in the German share index.

With the new Management Board, Zalando plans to become a sustainable fashion platform and expand its customer base.
