Packmatic closes seed financing round

The Berlin-based packaging start-up receives a mid-single-digit million sum, with HV Capital leading the seed financing round.
Paul Schraven, Jonas Boland, Tobias Linnardi and Matthias Geiss only founded the start-up Packmatic in January 2021. Now they have convinced well-known investors in their seed financing round: the Berlin-based company is receiving a mid-seven-figure sum from HV Capital and several business angels, including the founders of Zalando.
Packmatic offers a marketplace for product packaging where medium-sized companies can look for suppliers for their packaging. The start-up also offers every new customer the opportunity to review their current packaging in order to make it more sustainable. The Berlin-based company is currently working with 60 packaging manufacturers and aims to have 100 by the end of 2021. For this year, Packmatic expects turnover in the single-digit million range, rising to a double-digit million figure next year.
