Start-up support for internationalization: Kickstart International from German Accelerator

Internationalization - a big word for every startup. It's good to be able to prepare for international expansion at an early stage. Even better if there is the perfect program to help you get started. Best of all: there's no catch.
Kickstart International - All eyes on YOU and your startup
Five days, opportunities to participate several times a year, a hybrid program with workshops and events in various German cities - Kickstart International is that compact and simple. Startups that are thinking about venturing into international markets are in good hands in this program. Together with the individual participants, it is determined whether the company fulfills the requirements for such a step and which market offers the most potential. With a global network of experts, Kickstart International is guaranteed to find the right mentor for every business sector and every industry. Don't worry about a hidden agenda: the program is part of the German Accelerator, funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK), which sees the promotion of startups as a direct investment in innovation, new jobs and economic growth. Application and participation in Kickstart International is free of charge for start-ups and does not involve the transfer of company shares.
Who we are
German Accelerator is part of the startup ecosystem - here in Germany, but also in Asia and the USA, and has been for 10 years. More than 500 startups have successfully completed at least one of the programs and have received more than US$ 4.9 billion in funding to date, including unicorns such as Celonis, Forto, Raisin and Signavio. With tailor-made offers, companies are supported at eye level and prepared for the demands of their target markets while innovation is driven forward with passion. Startups should make a decision for their international future based on knowledge, with insight into the target market and guidance from experts.
Internationalization - thinking about tomorrow today
The well-prepared bird catches the international worm. The program gives participants an overview of the various global markets and where the greatest potential for their startup lies. However, preparation is not just about imparting knowledge. Participants work closely with experienced mentors who help to evaluate and possibly adapt the existing business model of the respective startup for new markets. Even if internationalization is still in the future: Early adjustments avoid money- and time-consuming detours or mistakes and put startups on a secure footing in the long term.
More than just an internationalization program
In our portfolio, start-ups not only find further support programs for expansion into the USA and Asia (including Singapore, India, South Korea, China and Japan), the range of which is constantly being expanded. Participants also become part of the ecosystem of German Entrepreneurship, which operates the German Accelerator. This network consists of already successful start-ups, international partners such as universities, companies of all sizes, relevant associations and investors.
