7.2 million euros for Simpleclub

Simpleclub wants to expand into other countries. Business angels and investors supported the edtech.
Edtech simpleclub received €7.2 million in a Series A funding round. 10x Founders is a new entrant and led the round, while existing investor HV Capital also participated. According to information from Gründerszene several business angels also invested, including Schüttflix CEO Christian Hülsewig, investor Verena Pausder, Flixbus founder Daniel Krauss, Sennder founders David Nothacker, Julius Kurt Köhler and Nicolaus Schefenacker, and Coachhub founder Matti Niebelschütz.
Simpleclub started with learning videos on YouTube. In 2015, Nicolai Schork and Alexander Giesecke then founded the start-up of the same name and built an online learning platform. There, students can find learning videos, original A-level exams, tasks with solutions and ready-made summaries. They also benefit from personalized learning plans and can track their progress with statistics.
With the capital from the financing round, Simpleclub aims to live up to its mission "We educate the world." The edtech wants to expand nationally and internationally. "We believe that simpleclub will be the world's leading provider of digital educational content in a few years," says Robert Wuttke of 10x Founders.
