Even before its market launch, the finance app Alice collected one million euros from well-known female investors, and now the start-up is announcing its launch: It is now called Vitamin and is entering the beta phase to be accessible to everyone from October - especially women.

Today, everyone has the chance to invest quickly, digitally and easily, according to the promise. But only 13 percent of women in Germany do so. The financial app Alice, which is now entering its beta phase under the new name Vitamin, aims to change this. Around 100 users are testing the service, and Vitamin will be available to everyone from the fourth quarter of 2021. From the beginning of next year, there will be an investment function in the app in cooperation with a partner, founder Andrea Fernandez told Finance Forward.

Fernandez founded the start-up with Artyom Chelbayev at the beginning of the year. In March, Vitamin raised more than one million euros from Cavalry Ventures and business angels such as Lea-Sophie Cramer, Verena Pausder and Jessica Holzbach under the name Alice.

For the official market launch, Vitamin is offering the opportunity to take a test on the website to find out your own investor personality and learn more in courses on financial topics. Vitamin wants to move away from the high-sounding language of the financial sector and explain things in a simple and accessible way. "At Vitamin, we use our voice to guide, inspire and motivate," says Fernandez at the launch. The target group is clearly women, and the aim is to work with influencers such as Vreni Frost and Masha in the coming weeks.
