AUDAVIS plans to use the fresh capital to expand and improve its "Artificial Auditor", an AI co-pilot that supports auditors and companies in securing financial data.

Munich, January 15, 2025 - The Munich-based AI startup AUDAVIS has secured seed financing of 1.1 million euros. High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) led the round, supported by investors from the BayStartUP network and Unicorn investor Martin Ostermayer. The capital will be used to drive forward the development of the "Artificial Auditor" - an AI that serves as a co-pilot for auditors and checks financial data more efficiently and in greater detail.

Progress in auditing

AUDAVIS offers AI co-piloting for annual audits and the continuous monitoring of financial transactions. The system automatically analyses accounting data for consistency, identifies anomalies and supports auditors by pre-prioritizing and evaluating suspicious entries. Companies benefit from optimized internal audits and can permanently monitor risks with continuous auditing.

With AUDAVIS, we create an audit depth that was previously unattainable and offer comprehensive support for auditors and companies alike.

Benjamin Aunkofer, Chief AI Officer and Co-Founder AUDAVIS

Market demand and skills shortage

In an industry that is suffering from a shortage of skilled workers, AUDAVIS increases the efficiency of inspection processes by up to 60 % and simultaneously increases in-depth inspections. The technological basis uses modern federated deep learning methods for secure and distributed learning.

AUDAVIS combines an experienced team with a scalable product - the perfect foundation to become a must-have tool for auditing.

Johannes Dierkes, Investment Manager at HTGF

It will be interesting to see how the future of AUDAVIS develops. If the startup is successful, this could have far-reaching positive effects on the generation of founders. In particular, individual founders and small teams who want to convert their UG haftungsbeschränkt into a GmbH as their success grows often come up against the hurdles of auditing - a process that is associated with personnel bottlenecks and high costs. While serial founders and well-connected entrepreneurs are often better positioned here, any innovation that makes auditing processes more efficient and frees up more auditor capacity can strengthen the entire system.
