Choco launches in the UK

Berlin-based Unicorn has invested £20 million in operations in the UK. Choco says it is already the market leader in the U.S. and Europe.
Choco has launched its ordering platform for the restaurant and supplier market in the UK. At launch, the Berlin-based unicorn invested 20 million pounds in the operation. In the long term, Choco aims to fully automate ordering processes in the UK restaurant industry.
Choco's platform connects restaurants and suppliers, digitizing order management, supply chains and communication. In doing so, the startup aims to both optimize food industry processes and counteract food waste. Choco CEO and founder Daniel Khachab estimates that companies save an average of 1.27 kilos of waste and two hours per week using the Choco app. "By building a powerful ecosystem, which we are now expanding to the UK market, we will help the industry into the 21st century," he says. "We believe Choco will be the backbone of food supply in the years to come, creating the new standard for a global food supply chain.
Founded in 2018 by Daniel Khachab, Julian Hammer and Grégoire d'Ambroselli, the company says it is already the market leader in the United States and Europe. There are more than 26,000 active users worldwide, including 15,000 restaurants and 11,000 suppliers.
