Delivery Hero co-founder becomes board member in nuclear power startup

Lukasz Gadowski invests in Australian start-up HB11 Energy.
The co-founder of Delivery Hero and Spreadshirt has a new job: Lukasz Gadowski will become a board member at Australian startup HB11 Energy, which wants to build nuclear power plants based on nuclear fusion.
The start-up was founded a year ago. The Australians are trying to fuse hydrogen and boron-11 atoms to produce energy. The scientific director is physics professor Heinrich Hora. "Heinrich Hora is the pioneer of hydrogen-boron fusion - the most elegant approach in this field that I've come across," Gadowski tells Gründerszene. "It's a hard task, but even the attempt itself is worth it. "HB11 Energy aims to build its first reactors in as little as eight years. "Our reactor is clean and absolutely safe. It can even be placed in densely populated areas, since a catastrophic meltdown like in fission reactors is impossible," Hora tells Gründerszene
