Delivery Hero about to join Gorillas?

The delivery giant is reportedly putting a nine-figure sum into the German unicorn. Good news for Gorillas after another takeover recently fell through.
A sensation is brewing in the competitive market for delivery services of all kinds: As the Manager Magazin reports, the DAX company Delivery Hero is said to be planning an entry into the 10-minute delivery service Gorillas. According to the report, it is initially about 200 million euros of capital, in the future, even more money could flow.
A notary appointment is said to have already been scheduled. The companies did not comment on the news at first. It would be a successful turnaround for Gorillas and its boss Kagan Sümer. Only a few days ago it had become known that a possible entry of the US competitor Doordash had fallen through.
Existing investors are also expected to join the new Gorillas funding round. Delivery Hero CEO Niklas Östberg had in the past derided the Gorillas concept as "networked late-night restaurants", but had most recently entered the field himself with the Foodpanda brand.
