The Geissens launch ice cream with start-up

The ice cream belongs to the offer of Pro Delight Food, the special: It is low in calories and high in protein.

If you hear the name "The Geisses", you might also hear Carmen Geiss' long-drawn-out "Robert" in your ears. Now the family has teamed up with startup Pro Delight Food to develop two ice cream flavors. "Grab our (G)EISSKALTEN BURNER," family man Robert Geiss announced the new product on Instagram. Pro Delight Food focuses on ice cream that is supposed to be especially low in calories and high in protein. Since 2016, the Berliners have been selling their varieties in gyms, then increasingly in retail stores and supermarkets in the DACH region.

The Seasalt Caramel and Creamy Chocolate flavors are part of the startup's Callows brand, which only launched in 2020. At that time, Stenzel handed over the management to Thomas Wagner, who got to know the Geissens personally. A long-term partnership with the Geissens as testimonials is planned, Stenzel told Gründerszene. The Geissens' varieties are easy to find in supermarkets, with all four family members pictured on the packaging: Robert and Carmen Geiss with their daughters Davina and Shania.

Pro Delight Food has raised a total of a mid-six-figure sum in two financing rounds. In addition to Stenzel, the founders are Kamylla Brandino and Lukas Zwiessele. The goal is to offer an alternative to the high-sugar and high-calorie ice cream on the market.
