The Munich-based education startup EDURINO has successfully completed its Series B financing round, raising 17 million euros. The round is led by Ravensburger Next Ventures, the venture arm of Ravensburger AG, and the impact investor Summiteer of series founder Sven Schulz. In addition to existing investors such as DN Capital, Tengelmann Ventures, b2venture, FJ Labs, Emerge, G-FUND and Jens Begemann, business angels such as Stefan Winners and Frederik Vollert are also involved.

Digital education meets analog gaming fun

EDURINO has set itself the goal of establishing a new category in the preschool and primary school sector: a platform-based learning world that combines digital content, physical products and educational concepts. The offerings are aimed at children aged four to eight and combine learning apps, ergonomic pens, physical play figures and storytelling elements to create an overall concept that is suitable for children.

EDURINO intends to use the new capital to expand its digital platform, double the number of retail partners and expand into new markets - including an imminent market entry in the UK.

Strong partners for scalable growth

The new lead investor Ravensburger is not only contributing capital, but also extensive expertise in the areas of play and education.

EDURINO successfully bridges the gap between analog play and digital learning.

Thomas Bleyer, Managing Director at Ravensburger

EDURINO plans to expand its content in future to include video formats and cooperation-based offers with children's brands. According to co-founder Franziska Meyer, the aim is to"create a platform that accompanies children in the long term and makes education an emotional experience".

Socially effective, technologically sound

In addition to product development, EDURINO is also investing in scientific foundations. Learning effects are continuously evaluated together with the University of Cambridge. The company also uses its own low-code system, which will allow learning content to be developed efficiently and in a scalable manner in the future.

EDURINO combines technology, pedagogy and scalability in a remarkable way.

Sven Schulz, serial founder

Today, the start-up employs over 40 specialists in the fields of education, game design, psychology and software development. More than one million products have been sold to date and over 1,500 educational institutions are already using EDURINO. Retail partners include MediaMarkt, Saturn, Müller and Smyths Toys.

Award-winning founders with a clear mission

EDURINO was founded in 2021 by Irene Klemm and Franziska Meyer. They were named "Female Founders of the Year 2025" by the Startup Association for their vision and social impact. EDURINO has received multiple awards, including the Educational Media Award, the TOMMI Children's Software Award and the Founders' Award 2025, and has established itself as a permanent fixture in the German EdTech landscape.
