baupal has completed its financing round with 19.4 million euros and is renaming itself ENTER with immediate effect.

The climate tech start-up ENTER has closed a Series A financing round in a short space of time, having already gone through a seed financing round at the end of 2022. Investors such as COATUE, Foundamental, Target Global, A/O Proptech and Partech invested a total of 19.4 million euros in ENTER. The company intends to use the capital to become Europe's leading provider for energy-efficient refurbishment.

"Around 200,000 properties are currently renovated in Germany every year. But for us to achieve our climate targets, there need to be more than one million buildings

Justus Menten, Co-Founder & GF ENTER

The company offers homeowners a simpler and faster way to renovate their property to make it more energy efficient. Using a digital query, customers can receive an assessment of the condition of their property within a few minutes and find out how much can be saved through various renovation steps. ENTER then draws up an individual refurbishment plan and takes care of the appropriate funding applications. In this way, the measures can be optimized and implemented cost-effectively, which benefits both the environment and the customer.

We have increased our turnover more than sixfold in recent months and are still on a very strong growth trajectory.

Max Schroeren, Co-Founder & GF ENTER

According to surveys, 75 percent of homeowners fear that they will not be able to afford an energy-efficient renovation. With an on-site analysis and a virtual consultation, customers can understand the energy status of their property and make all the relevant decisions for a CO2-neutral home. ENTER also provides support with financing by planning the appropriate measures in an optimal sequence with maximum funding.

The business model was able to convince investors, especially in the current news environment of the new rules for heating and refurbishment. In addition to the VCs mentioned above, well-known business angels and start-ups such as Oliver Merkel, Hanno Heintzenberg, Lukas Pieczonka, Dr. Daniel Kreter, Johannes Roggendorf and Tom Stafford also support Enter.
