Exclusive: Crafting Future closes seed round

With a new cooperation behind it, the Hanover-based start-up Crafting Future was able to raise six-figure seed funding. With this, the Lower Saxons want to bring their reusable products to the market throughout Europe in the long term.
Recycling start-up Crafting Future has been able to raise a six-figure sum in venture capital. With this, the Hanover-based company has successfully completed its seed financing round. The money comes mainly from the Angelgate investor club. Its members Michael Schnickmann, Helmut Deschauer, Jochen Berger and Jürgen Jaron invest as well as investor Gwendolyn Schröter from Golzern Holding.
"We are very happy about the experienced and active support on our way to become a leading provider of thoughtful and, above all, measurably sustainable reusable products in Europe," Can Lewandowski, one of the founders of Crafting Future, is pleased to say.
The start-up makes products from plastic waste, such as reusable bowls and reusable cups for restaurants' take-away business. In this way, the founders - in addition to Lewandowski, they are Lennart Heyner and Jan Patzer - want to reduce pollution and waste production. Since its founding in 2020, Crafting Future has already been able to conclude several major cooperations, most recently with Recup, Germany's largest deposit system for take-away utensils, according to the company. Crafting Future makes the "Rebowl", a reusable bowl, for Recup.
"The fact that we have now risen to become a supplier of the largest and most established reusable deposit system in Germany barely a year after our first strategic meeting shows me the passion and determination with which the founders and their team work," said investor Michael Schnickmann.
