Hellofresh apparently overloaded: Customers should cancel Kochbox

A recall campaign of a different kind: on Monday, Hellofresh asked its customers to cancel their orders for the current Kochbox by midnight to prevent supply bottlenecks.
This probably left some customers of the supplier Hellofresh puzzled on Monday evening: As reported by Handelsblatt , they were informed by email that they should cancel their order for a Kochbox. The offer was only valid until midnight, and in return they received a 10-euro voucher.
Once a week, Hellofresh delivers a ready-made box with ingredients and recipe in agreed quantities to customers' homes - they just have to do the cooking themselves. Over Christmas, however, the start-up seems to have run into delivery bottlenecks. According to Handelsblatt, the email to customers read: "With your help, we can ensure that capacities are not reached at the turn of the year and that we can continue to offer our service satisfactorily in the future."
The listed company has not been able to close a financial year with a profit since it was founded nine years ago. This year should be different for the first time. In the third quarter of 2020 alone, the company made a profit of 74.6 million euros. In times of the pandemic and lockdown, Hellofresh has just the right offer for people at home.
