Horizon raises €1.4 million

In addition to the new funding, the start-up is also expanding its team. Former Adidas manager Annie Melnic will support the team in the future.
The Mainz-based start-up Horizon has raised €1.4 million in financing as part of its pre-seed round. The Investitions- und Strukturbank Rheinland-Pfalz and Catapult Analytics Ltd are investing. Sebastian Heinz (co-founder of Statworx) and Marco Adelt (co-founder of Clark) as well as other business angels are also investing in the start-up.
At the same time as the financing round, Horizon is announcing a new appointment. Annie Melnic, previously responsible for Consumer Insights Outdoor Sports at Adidas, will support the start-up as Head of Data Analytics & Insights. "She will be instrumental in helping us to ensure that all our customers across all industries can generate valuable insights for their strategic product decisions," says CEO Daniel Putsche.

Putsche founded the start-up in 2021 together with Lutz Petrean. The B2B company has developed software designed to help companies quantitatively analyze overall market demand, optimal positioning, price acceptance and brand fit for strategic product decisions.
