In Hesse, pupils are to catch up on their learning with software from Sofatutor

With the help of the learning start-up, schoolchildren can catch up on what they have previously missed over the summer. The offer for 750,000 children is valid until the end of August.
The state of Hesse is buying licenses from the Berlin-based learning start-up Sofatutor for all 750,000 students. With this, the state wants to make up for the learning shortfalls caused by homeschooling and distance learning during the summer holidays.
Until 29 August, the end of the Hessian summer holidays, pupils can use the offer. In addition to the explanatory videos, Sofatutor also offers, for example, 24-hour help via chat. The Ministry of Education promises that all students will receive access codes from their schools. "The cooperation with Hesse makes us very proud. We want to help school children throughout the state to start the next school year successfully," says Sofatutor founder Stephan Bayer. "Hesse is also showing other states how Corona learning backlogs can be tackled quickly and purposefully."
The online learning aid Sofatutor is already used in Bremen and Saxony in the classroom and in the afternoon. Sofatutor offers a total of 11,000 learning videos and 39,000 worksheets. More than one million people use Sofatutor.
