New financing for Foodtech Koro

The Berlin start-up was able to convince VCs Five Seasons, HV Capital and Partech with its vegan organic products.

Foodtech Koro has raised a double-digit million amount in its current financing round, as the company announced. HV Capital and Five Seasons, an investor specializing in foodtechs, are investing. French VC Partech is also participating in the round. According to Koro, well-known tech entrepreneurs from Delivery Hero, Hellofresh and OMR are also investing in the company. The start-up intends to use the new funding to accelerate its growth and expand further abroad.

The start-up mainly sells vegan and vegetarian organic snacks and superfoods via its online store and retail partners. Its partners include DM, Rewe, Alnatura and Tegut. Koro focuses on short supply chains, bulk packaging and transparency regarding the origin of its products. Constantinos Calios and Piran Asci founded the start-up in Berlin in 2014. Koro's range has since grown to 1,250 products. The start-up currently exports its products to 16 European countries.

In addition to the current financing, the company is also announcing the newly formed Advisory Board. Georg Kofler will be the Chairman.
