Dutch start-up acquires Vcoach

The digital personal trainer for communication is now owned by edtech Lepaya.
Munich-based startup Vcoach is now owned by Lepaya. The Dutch edtech is looking to expand further with a €35 million funding round from the end of last year behind it. Vcoach is to become part of Lepaya's offering in the future.
Lepaya aims to train employees using online and offline learning. According to the start-up, its customers include Evonik, Hellofresh, Flink and the management consultancy KPMG. Vcoach, in turn, offers a platform where users can upload their own videos of presentations to receive immediate feedback from an AI technology. The product won the HR Innovation Award at the ZP Europe HR fair and is used by several large organizations. Vcoach co-founder Tobias Hölzer is to become Lepaya's new Head of AI as part of the acquisition.
In order to serve large business customers with a holistic solution, it is necessary to think bigger, Stephanie Mayer, co-founder of Vcoach explains the move for the sale. "Lepaya's approach and vision fit perfectly with ours, but they cover even more subject areas and methodologies."
