Dutch start-up takes over Vcoach

The digital personal trainer for communication is now owned by edtech Lepaya.
The Munich-based start-up Vcoach is now owned by Lepaya. With a financing round of 35 million euros at the end of last year behind it, the Dutch edtech wants to expand further. Vcoach is to become part of the Lepaya offering in future.
Lepaya wants to train employees with the help of online and offline learning measures. According to the start-up, its customers include Evonik, Hellofresh, Flink and the management consultancy KPMG. Vcoach, on the other hand, offers a platform on which users can upload their own videos of presentations in order to receive immediate feedback from AI technology. The product won the HR Innovation Award at the ZP Europe HR trade fair and is used by several large organizations. Vcoach co-founder Tobias Hölzer is to become the new Head of AI at Lepaya as part of the acquisition.
Stephanie Mayer, co-founder of Vcoach, explains the reasoning behind the move to sell the company in order to serve large business customers with a holistic solution. "Lepaya's approach and vision fit perfectly with ours, but they cover even more subject areas and methods."
