Nina Rimbach becomes managing director of Zoo.de

There are several new additions at Zoo.de. Among them are two familiar faces from the pet food industry.
Nina Rimbach is the new managing director of Zoo.de. Previously, she headed the Green Petfood department at foodforplanet. "My task will be to build the topic of sustainability as the brand core of Zoo.de into a successful business model," says Rimbach. Founder and previous CEO Axel Oertel now moves to the advisory board.
There are other new additions to the advisory board. In future, the long-time managing director of Josera Petfood Klaus Wagner and Marc Klages will advise the start-up. Among other things, Wagner helped build the sustainable pet food brands EatSmall and VegDog. As CEO of Ventr, Klages has experience developing digital platforms.
Zoo.de's platform rates products for dogs and cats based on their sustainability. The more climate-friendly, animal welfare-oriented and low-packaging a product is, the better its rating on Zoo.de. After the change in personnel, the start-up is now looking to grow in the pet food market. "We will become a kind of consumer agency or Stiftung Warentest in all matters of sustainable pet care," says Wagner.
