Packwise wins German Innovation Award

With this award, the German Design Council recognizes products that offer users added value compared to previous solutions.
Together with its partners BASF, the paint and stain manufacturer Hesse Lignal and the consulting company GOcon GmbH, Packwise is the winner of the German Innovation Award 2021. The German Innovation Award is initiated and carried out by the German Design Council, which was founded in 1953 by the German Bundestag and endowed by the Federation of German Industries.
With this award, the German Design Council recognizes products across all industries that offer users added value compared to previous solutions. Packwise received the award in the category "Excellence in Business to Business - Chemical Industry".
"In the joint pilot project, we were able to offer partners additional transparency in the supply chain through our technology," says Packwise CEO Gesche Weger. The start-up specialises in networking industrial packaging. In simple terms, Packwise attaches a sensor to a container to create a digital twin of the industrial packaging. Through the Packwise Flow software platform, real-time data on fill level, location, impact, movement and temperature can be viewed. The system analyzes this data to map and automate supply chain processes.
