Prewave raises 18 million euros in Series A+

Prewave, a platform specializing in supply chain risk management and compliance, has received €18 million in Series A+ financing from Creandum.

The supply chain risk management and compliance platform Prewave has received 18 million euros in Series A+ financing from Creandum. The start-up wants to develop from a platform that identifies risks into a platform for action. Customers such as BMW, PwC and Lufthansa are already using the comprehensive solution for managing supply chain risks.

Now it is time to become the first true end-to-end operating system for supply chain risk.

Under the leadership of Dr. Lisa Smith and Harald Nitschinger, Prewave offers a dynamic supplier risk score based on big data analysis of the supply chain. This enables companies to monitor their entire supply chain and take necessary corrective and preventive actions to minimize risks and improve supplier performance. The platform helps companies to comply with international regulations such as the German Supply Chain Act and the upcoming European Supply Chain Due Diligence Directive.

Prewave was founded in 2017 by Dr. Lisa Smith and Harald Nitschinger and specializes in supply chain risk management. The idea originated from research into using machine learning to identify supplier risks by analyzing social media data and was eventually successfully applied in practice. Today, the company is working to improve the sustainability, resilience and transparency of the supply chain by identifying and managing risks.
