Supply chain risk management and compliance platform Prewave has received €18 million in a Series A+ financing from Creandum.

Supply chain risk management and compliance platform Prewave has received €18 million in Series A+ funding from Creandum. The startup aims to evolve from a platform that identifies risks to an action platform. Customers such as BMW, PwC and Lufthansa are already using the comprehensive supply chain risk management solution.

Now it's time to become the first true end-to-end operating system for supply chain risk.

Harald Nitschinger, Co-Founder Prewave

Prewave, led by Dr. Lisa Smith and Harald Nitschinger, offers a dynamic supplier risk score based on Big Data analysis of the supply chain. This enables companies to monitor their entire supply chain and take necessary corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks and improve supplier performance. The platform helps companies comply with international regulations such as the German Supply Chain Act and the upcoming European Directive on supply chain due diligence.

Prewave has developed a unique solution that enables companies to act on their supply chain in real time. Dynamic supplier risk assessment provides much needed transparency.

Sabina Wizander, Partner Creandum

In addition to the €18 million investment from Creandum, Prewave has also received confirmation from its existing investors. Ventech, KOMPAS, seed+speed, Segnalita, Speedinvest, Working Capital Fund and xista science ventures have renewed their confidence in the company.

Prewave was founded in 2017 by Dr. Lisa Smith and Harald Nitschinger and specializes in supply chain risk management. The idea grew out of research into using machine learning to identify supplier risks by analyzing social media data and was eventually successfully applied in the field. Today, the company works to improve supply chain sustainability, resilience, and transparency through risk identification and management.
