Rebike receives 24 million euros

The bicycle start-up has closed a new round of financing. Tengelmann Ventures is among the investors.
Rebike Mobility closes a financing round of 24 million euros. The lead investor in the round is Circularity Capital, an investor specializing in business models in the circular economy. Tengelmann Ventures and Parkshore Holding are also investing in the company. Existing investors Vorwerk Ventures and BayBG are also participating again. In addition to the equity financing of 19 million euros, the start-up also receives five million euros in debt capital from Varengold Bank.
Thomas Bernik and Sven Erger founded Rebike in 2018. The founders operate two different platforms where customers can buy, rent and subscribe to e-bikes. In doing so, customers can decide for themselves whether they want a used or new e-bike. The start-up also rents e-bike fleets to rental stores, hotels and companies.
The founders intend to use the new capital to expand the new refurbishment and logistics center at the Kempten site and to further develop their online platform technically. The international expansion to France, the Netherlands and Switzerland is also to be accelerated.
