Scalable Capital buys JustETF

The platform was dedicated to ETFs long before the current hype. Now it has been bought by online broker Scalable Capital.

Fintech Scalable Capital has acquired the financial portal JustETF. The Munich-based company announced this on Monday and the JustETF brand is to remain in place, with founders Dominique and Petra Riedl also remaining on board.

JustETF is a portal specifically dedicated to exchange-traded index funds (ETFs) and investing in general. ETFs are an important part of Scalable Capital's business model. Investors can trade ETFs on the platform and integrate them into their portfolio. The company is now looking to expand its information offering with the acquisition, as announced in a press release.

JustETF has plenty of information on ETFs. According to the company, it is the largest information portal on the subject in Europe. ETF and portfolio comparisons can be carried out on the platform. Articles, videos, online seminars and podcasts are all about investing. The site has around eight million hits per month. Meanwhile, Scalable Capital offers digital asset management, a broker with a trading flat rate as well as overnight and fixed-term deposit offers and claims to be the largest digital asset manager in Europe.

Scalable Capital was founded in 2014 by former Goldman Sachs employees Erik Podzuweit, Florian Prucker, Adam French and Stefan Mittnik, holder of the Chair of Financial Econometrics and Director of the Center for Quantitative Risk Analysis at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. Dominique and Petra Riedl founded their company around four years earlier. The company has seven employees.
