Wiwin aims to raise one million euros through crowdinvesting

The financing round is to take place via the company's own platform. The Mainz-based company wants to use the money to improve its IT infrastructure.
The Mainz-based start-up Wiwin is launching a financing round on February 15 via its own crowd-investing site - the company's core business. The platform for sustainable investments aims to raise one million euros. Private investors can participate from as little as 250 euros. The term is around five years and the interest rate is 6.5 percent per year. Wiwin also wants investors to participate in the operating result (before tax). They receive an exit participation.
Wiwin wants to use the money to boost growth. Part of the capital raised will also be used for further technical development: To date, the company has purchased its IT solutions for carrying out crowd investments from external service providers. Now a team is to set up its own IT platform. As a result, the company wants to see itself less as a financial intermediary and more as a fintech in the future.
The start-up has set itself the goal of promoting sustainable investments, as founder Matthias Willenbacher explains: "A large proportion of global financial resources still flows into traditional investments that harm the climate, environment and society. We want to change this by providing companies and projects with a green impact with the necessary capital."
To date, over 11,500 investors have invested a total of more than 116 million euros in sustainable projects and companies via the Wiwin platform. The company also has an offer for professional and institutional investors: exclusive capital investments in the form of private placements. The Mainz-based company has also launched an equity fund that only invests in green companies.
