These analyses, listicles and studies reached and convinced a particularly large number of readers last year.

The past year has held many surprises in store for the start-up world, but some of our larger pieces have simply been particularly inspiring. Which ones are they? Here are our top clicks of 2022 in the area of reports.

An absolute perennial favorite this year was Mädchenflohmarkt. You literally tore the first article out of our hands back in February. The headline back then was: This is why Mädchenflohmarkt has massive problems. We have linked to the whole article again here. Incidentally, there has been no real improvement so far - at least if you look at our inbox. We'll keep at it!

Admittedly: That was a bit lurid when we ran the headline: The apocalypse for start-ups begins. Some of you sent us angry messages and comments saying that the article wasn't true and that it wasn't that bad. But you can't deny that you were interested in the topic - the click figures speak for themselves!

Everdrop wants to be a sustainable alternative to cleaning products in plastic bottles. Startbase author Sophie Deistler tested the start-up's starter cleaning kit - and found many readers. We link the whole text HERE again.

Deutsche Familienversicherung offers insurance for dogs and cats and advertised it on big shows like Germany's Next Topmodel. But the insurtech's offer has been criticized on the Internet. And what about us? We took a look at the offer, took it apart and probably made some paw friends very happy. Read the full article here.

Of course, this hype topic is not to be missed: NFTs are changing the art market at a breathtaking pace, which is why start-ups like Pinsl from Stuttgart want to make NFT trading more accessible and secure. But the hype is also attracting dubious providers, as Felix Leitmeyer reported for us.

No fewer than seven unicorns have their origins at the Center for Digital Technology and Management (CDTM) in Munich. It's a number that is too large to be just a coincidence. So what do they do differently there than in the rest of the country - and is there something like a magic formula for the unicorn incantation? Jan Schulte has investigated and reached many readers - and not just in Munich.
