As the sole shareholder, the Vereinigung Baden-Württembergische Wertpapierbörse e.V. ensures that the Stuttgart stock exchange can successfully face the competition in terms of strategy and organisation.

The Vereinigung Baden-Württembergische Wertpapierbörse e.V. is at the head of the Stuttgart Stock Exchange Group. It has the statutory mandate to directly or indirectly operate stock exchanges, in particular the Baden-Württembergische Wertpapierbörse, and off-exchange trading systems. In addition, its mission includes promoting the position of the Stuttgart region and the state of Baden-Württemberg as a location for financial services for the benefit of citizens and the economy.

While the association carries out stock exchange trading and off-exchange trading via subsidiaries, it is responsible for promoting the financial centre itself and provides a comprehensive platform under the Stuttgart Financial brand. It is supported in this by the Ministry of Economics of Baden-Württemberg and the Credit Industry Foundation of the University of Hohenheim. Stuttgart Financial expands the network structures in the financial centre and bundles the common interests of the local financial market players. Its main areas of activity are location marketing, research and education, personnel recruitment and support for young companies in venture capital financing.

The association has 32 members from the fields of credit institutions, issuers, financial service providers, law firms and bodies generally interested in the further development of the financial centre. Its organs are the executive board, the board of trustees, the executive committee and the general meeting.
