As the sole shareholder, Vereinigung Baden-Württembergische Wertpapierbörse e.V. ensures that the Stuttgart Stock Exchange can successfully face the competition in terms of strategy and organization.

The Vereinigung Baden-Württembergische Wertpapierbörse e.V. is at the head of the Stuttgart Stock Exchange Group. Its statutory mission is to directly or indirectly operate stock exchanges, in particular the Baden-Württembergische Wertpapierbörse, as well as over-the-counter trading systems. In addition, its mission includes promoting the position of the Stuttgart region and the state of Baden-Württemberg as a location for financial industry services for the benefit of citizens and the economy. While the association conducts exchange trading and over-the-counter trading through subsidiaries, it performs the task of promoting the financial center itself and provides an overarching platform under the Stuttgart Financial brand. In this, it is supported by the Ministry of Economics of Baden-Württemberg and the Stiftung Kreditwirtschaft of the University of Hohenheim. Stuttgart Financial expands the network structures in the financial center and bundles the common interests of the local financial market players. Key areas of activity are location marketing, research and education, recruitment and support for young companies in venture capital financing.

The association has 32 members from the areas of credit institutions, issuers, financial service providers, law firms and general bodies interested in the further development of the financial center. Its bodies are the Board of Directors, the Board of Trustees, the Executive Committee and the General Meeting.
