All of the start-up's products are designed to meet the 17 sustainability goals of the United Nations. Some of the sponsors are quite prominent.

17 celebrities, entrepreneurs and professors have founded a sustainable start-up together. Under the name The Seventeen, they want to offer products that are compatible with the 17 sustainability goals of the United Nations. Each founder represents one of the goals. For example, former German national soccer player and vegan Timo Hildebrand represents the goal of eating healthily and combating hunger.

The start-up wants to invest 17% of its profits in the implementation of projects relating to the sustainability goals. It also aims to advise other companies on how they can design their value chains in line with the sustainability goals. The idea for The Seventeen came from Torsten Weber. He has been a professor of sustainability management at the Cologne Business School in Cologne for almost ten years.

The first products should be available in the online store before the end of November. The focus is particularly on everyday objects and basic products.
