The reusable startup Vytal receives 14.2 million euros from investors to expand its technology platform and grow internationally. The USA in particular is increasingly becoming the focus of expansion.
Cologne, March 11, 2025 - The Cologne-based startup Vytal, provider of digital reusable packaging solutions and well-known from DHDL, has closed growth financing in the amount of 14.2 million euros. The fresh capital is intended to drive the expansion of the reusable tech platform, accelerate international expansion and further develop technological innovations.
Investors focus on sustainable packaging solutions
The current financing round was led by Inven Capital, a growth fund specializing in climate tech, and NRW.Venture, the venture capital fund of NRW.BANK. They strengthen the circle of existing investors, which includes Emerald Technology Ventures, Grazia Equity, Kiko, Rubio Impact Ventures and Chi Impact Capital.
Vytal's data-driven innovations not only make reusable packaging more sustainable, but also more economically attractive and user-friendly for consumers and companies

Expansion in Europe and the USA
Vytal plans to use the funding specifically for international expansion. In addition to expanding its market position in Europe, the company is also focusing more on the US market. The funds are also intended to support the further development of the technology platform and offer companies economic advantages through intelligent returnable solutions.
Last year, Vytal more than doubled its turnover and expanded with franchise partners in Albania, Greece, the United Arab Emirates and South Africa. Major customers from the consumer goods and event industry are also increasingly relying on the company's reusable packaging, including Pepsi, the UEFA Euro 2024 fan zones and Live Nation.
Technology-driven solutions for the circular economy
Since its foundation in 2020, Vytal has become one of the most sought-after providers of digital reusable packaging solutions. The company licenses its technology platform and operates its own subsidiaries in several countries.
This financing round shows the confidence in our business model and our team. With Inven Capital as a strong partner, we are ideally positioned to establish our reusable models globally.
Dr. Tim Breker, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Vytal
In view of increasing regulatory requirements to reduce single-use packaging, the start-up is focusing on data-driven solutions to offer companies economic and ecological advantages. The new investments are intended to accelerate technological development and further strengthen Vytal's position as one of the leading providers in the circular economy.
