Agrando raises twelve million euros

According to a media report, it is the largest round for the start-up to date. It was led by Yabeo Impact.
The agricultural start-up Agrando has raised 12 million euros in a recent financing round. This was reported by Handelsblatt on Monday, citing the founder and investors, among others. Yabeo Impact led the round for the start-up in the field of agricultural technology (Agtech).
The start-up is particularly focused on paperwork away from the actual work in the field. Agrando claims to be Germany's largest independent trading platform, where farmers can easily order seeds and other materials online. In addition, the start-up also offers analyses and wants to advise farmers on which seed is best for their field at which time.
Agrando is the second start-up that Jonathan Bernwieser has founded in this area. Back in 2015, he wanted to digitize purchasing with a trading platform, but initially failed and now wants to attack again with Agrando. The start-up currently has 20,000 customers and is expected to generate seven-figure sales, according to Handelsblatt.
