Andreas Busemann goes to Konux

The Munich-based start-up is pleased to announce that Andreas Busemann has joined Konux as CRO. Previously, he worked for various subsidiaries of Deutsche Bahn, among others.

Konux plans to create 100 new jobs with its current round of funding. Among them are new executives: now the start-up announced that Andreas Busemann will take over the position of CRO. Founder Andreas Kunze is happy about the reinforcement: "He is an important asset and reinforcement for our team on our way to transform rail transport for a sustainable future."

Busemann brings a lot of experience with him: He was CEO of Vossloh until 2019, and before that he worked for various subsidiaries of Deutsche Bahn. Commenting on his decision, Busemann says: "As an independent service provider, Konux focuses entirely on optimising infrastructures, not on selling them. I find this innovative approach, combined with the agility of the entire team, absolutely convincing." At Konux, Busemann also meets former colleagues such as Volker Kiefer, who works as a consultant for the start-up and was previously on the board of Deutsche Bahn.

Konux could close a 15-million deal with Deutsche Bahn at the end of 2020. The Munich-based start-up aims to make rail transport more sustainable and effective through SaaS solutions, such as sensors that provide timely warnings of material fatigue. An $80-million funding round was just closed in mid-January.
